Sitting on the deck of this beautiful place God has given us. The air crisp. The leaves on the trees beginning to change their color and others already laying dormant on the ground. A squirrel gathers nuts. The birds singing. A family of turkeys scampering quietly across the lawn. The view of the beautiful mountains and a blue sky which is indescribable. Resting in the presence of the Almighty and being so grateful for this life He has given me. Life goes on around us, but in this moment…it stands still.
Breathing in the presence of the Lord on this beautiful Sunday morning. I open my devotional and all of a sudden I feel the presence of the Lord gently tapping me on the shoulder and giving me these words.
(Jesus Calling-Enjoying Peace in His Presence- Sarah Young) Pg. 300
Take Time To Be Still in My Presence. The more hassled you feel, the more you need this sacred space of communion with Me. Breathe slowly and deeply. Relax in My Holy Presence while My Face shines upon you. This is how you receive my Peace, which I always proffer to you.
Imagine the pain I feel when My children tie themselves up in knots, ignoring My gift of Peace. I died a criminal’s death to secure this blessing for you. Receive it gratefully: hide it in your heart. My Peace is an inner treasure, growing within you as you trust in Me. Therefore, circumstances cannot touch it. Be still, enjoying Peace in My Presence.”
Ps 46:10
Be still, and know that I am God.
Numbers 6:25-26
The Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
John 14:25
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
Today may we all sit in peace before the Father. Soaking in all He has to give us and has given us. Giving HIM praise for the beauty of sitting STILL in his presence.
